God created Howie, with his broken hee-haw, for a purpose. With child-like imagination, Josie Siler gives voice to the donkey who carried Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. Her Howie reminds readers God loves them and can use them as they are. He created them on purpose for a purpose.

A Beautiful and Powerful message!

I absolutely love this Palm Sunday picture book!! It’s got all the feels—a sweet story, a powerful message, and adorable illustrations. And, I fell in love with precious Howie who struggles to hee-haw the right way. His hee-haw comes out hee-ha-la-la-lay-Lu-yaaaa! So cute! Howie thinks his hee-haw is broken but Jesus thinks it is perfect and chooses Howie to carry Him. It’s a meaningful story that drives home the point—you were made on purpose, for a purpose. ❤️ I highly recommend this book. It’s one of my new faves!

Wonderful Palm Sunday Children’s Story

This is the most delightful Easter/Palm Sunday children's book I have read. I love that Josie chose to use the donkey from scripture to teach a lesson about acceptance. Howie is a young donkey who is embarrassed by his hee haw. Jesus tells him to be proud of it. Did Jesus talk to animals? Why not? I would recommend this book to anyone with young children or grandchildren.

Josie Siler has created a beautiful story reminding all of us that we were wonderfully made with a higher purpose and wonderfully loved by our creator.

She has found that no matter where she goes, there’s no place quite like home with her adorable little Teddy Bear dog, Ruby Mae (a.k.a. The Scruffy Princess). Josie enjoys adventures of all kinds, dark chocolate, practicing her skills at the range, and cheering on her Green Bay Packers - yes, she’s an owner! If she’s feeling exceptionally good, she might just take The Green Beast for a ride - her Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
