Wendy Hinote Lanier
Wendy Hinote Lanier is the quintessential Texan and a former elementary science teacher who writes and speaks for children and adults on a variety of topics. She holds a B.S. and M.S. in Speech Language Pathology and an M. Ed. in Elementary Education. As the author of more than 45 books for children and young adults, Wendy knows a thing or two about telling a good story. Her work covers topics related to science, technology, social studies, the arts, and, of course, Texas.
She brings the End Game Press family her children’s book The Dog That Gave My Brother Words.
The Dog That Gave My Brother Words is the story of a nonverbal boy with autism (ASD) and the service dog who helps him find his voice. Their first meeting is a magical moment that leads to a break in the silence—leaving his parents and sister in shock. The Dog That Gave My Brother Words promotes a greater understanding of ASD and leaves the reader with the satisfying sense that boy and dog are destined to do great things together.
